Basic Info
Name:Ronald B. Weasley
Bio

Name: Ronald Bilius Weasley, but he goes by 'Ron.' 'Weasley' or 'Weasel' is most commonly copyrighted by Draco.
Age: 16
Birthday: March 1, 1980
House: Gryffindor.

Personality: Ronald Bilius Weasley has a generally positive outlook on life, but struggles with feelings of having to live up to expectations, being that his five older brothers made very pertinent marks on Hogwarts one way or another. He's generally easygoing, until his pride is attacked, to which he goes utterly and completely insane. Ron does not take insults to his family and friends well, and may even have anger management issues. He's frequently blinded by anger in almost any situation of embarassment for he, his family, or friends and is almost too quick to wish death omens, throw a punch, or hex to oblivion. He's still working on this.

Ron hides his insecurity behind the thick skin he's gained from enduring years worth of taunting and teasing. The majority of cracks don't get to him anymore, but his temper can and will flare at random. Tired of living in the shadow of his brothers, Ron is slowly trying to become his own person. Is best friends with Harry Potter, and although he cherishes their friendship, he sometimes grows weary of being the ever-present "sidekick." Has a fabulous sense of humor.

Hotheaded and not as studious as his mother would like, Ron is the epitome of a tea kettle. Calm and collected is the image he presents forth towards most others, but as the heat rises, it's only a matter of time before he loses his cool and explodes. These explosions can be warranted or un-, depending on the surrounding opposition. Don't be fooled though, he may be a wizard, but sometimes brute force is needed, and Ron definitely has no quarrels about throwing a punch or two. Yet Ron can be very insecure about himself, and become irritated or embarrassed easily, but when push comes to shove, he'll be there with courage and strength to help his friends. His undying loyalty is what makes him a Gryffindor Lion and also makes him a true friend. He's a fun-loving kind of guy with a growing sense of humor and a bit of a jealousy problem that gets him into more trouble than its worth.

How ever brave he may be, when Ron was three years old, he broke Fred's toy broomstick and Fred retaliated by by changing Ron's teddy bear into a spider -- while he was holding it. He's been terrified of spiders ever since.

Ron's loyalty and bravery has increased throughout the years profusely. It has become more evident why he was sorted into Gryffindor -- and it's not because each of his family members were. Ron possesses a fierce loyalty to all his loved ones, and would have no problem granting Death his own life in order to save theirs.

Interests: Interests include Quidditch (holding the position as Keeper on the Gryffindor team) and the Chudley Cannons (being his ultime favorite), sweets including Chocolate Frogs, Sugarquills, and Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, Wizard's Chess in which Ron has yet to find an opponent who can reach checkmate before him, and for the more sentimental side, Ron would rather spend a day lounging around the common room or Hogsmeade with his closest friends.

Disinterests: Ron dislikes Draco Malfoy with a passion, all Slytherins, being teased by Fred and George (hence the nickname 'ickle ronnikins'), Moaning Myrtle, studying, SPIDERS, Professor Umbridge, Professor Snape, and detention with Filch.

Appearance: A fiery redhead like the rest of his family, Ron despises his hair and how easily recognizable it makes him, though it had progressively darkened from a bright orange to a more brilliant tone of red. This hair, other than making him stand out in a crowd, also has been the platform for others to tease and ridicule him about the poor state of his family, causing many a brawl. His freckled complexion holds a long nose and a pair of deep blue eyes rested on top of a thin lips that are usually curved into a lopsided grin. This lanky figure, adorned in outgrown hand-me-downs that expose at least an inch of his wrists and ankles, stands at a little over 6'1'', leering over most of his friends, most of all Harry, who stands much shorter.

Though even with this height, he is not as thin as he used to be ( though not buff either ), and Ron has filled out with slightly toned muscles in his shoulders arms and back due to his quidditch involvement and ritual wrestling matches that occurred at the Burrow on holidays. He still has that boyish figure, those muscles only enhancing the Weasley stature, and in even the thickest of crowds, Ron can be seen from a mile away.

Ron's feet, which used to be bigger than necessary, have evened out drastically by the time he reached his sixteenth year. He's no longer as awkward, but still has his moments.

Background and Key Relationships: On the first of March, Nineteen hundred and eighty, a redheaded child came into the world with spunk and a lot to live up to. The 6th child of the rather large Weasley family, over the years Ron has been well acquainted with hand-me-downs and belongings that could only be considered "rubbish." His pureblooded parents, Molly and Arthur Weasley, though wishing they could afford all seven children, often had to make do with what they had and could not afford many new items. In fact, most of Ron's belongings once belonged to one of his older brothers, and therefore cannot be used to their full potential. Having to live up to the expectations of his family set by these older brothers, Ron has to work hard to succeed and make an image for himself. Bill worked for Gringotts, Charlie worked in Romania with dragons, Percy worked for the Ministry of Magic, and Fred and George not only inherited the sense of humor but were well on their way to becoming aurors. What was left for Ron were merely crumbs of a life that had long been overshadowed by his family.

The Weasley family lives in Ottery St. Catchpole in what they like to call "The Burrow." It's a very homey location with loads of free land to practice quidditch on (without Muggles watching) and a hefty lot of gnomes to share it with. The Weasley house is none like any other house, in that each and every level is magically placed, giving it an almost lopsided feel. Harry even commented on how it looked like it would fall any minute. Ron, however, loves his house with all his heart. He was given the room on the very top which he decorated orange in honor of his favorite quidditch team - The Chudley Cannons. Ron had numerous memories at The Burrow consisting of following his older brothers - Fred and George - about the lot looking for mischief. In fact, Ron remembers not of the small flat the Weasleys shared when Arthur was in search of a job, but that was partially because Ron was an infant at the time. Finally, when Arthur received his job at the Ministry in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts section, they moved to a less crowded, more fit area to raise children.

All in all, Ronald had a very happy life as a child. Despite being ridiculed by most purebloods for the state of his family, their beliefs, and his poverty, Ron knows not of a family he'd like to spend his life with more.

Ron has attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for six long years. He has developed long-lasting friendships with Harry Potter (whom he is often shadowed by) and Hermione Granger (whom he has developed a crush on, but would never admit that).

Ron has been very supportive of Harry as he's been plagued by feedback from his mental connection with Voldemort. He's taken action to snap Harry out of a couple of overpowering nighttime visions, and protected Harry from having his problems become public property via the other boys in their dormitory (Seamus, Dean, and Neville). Ron's relationship with Harry is loyal and protective, knowing full-well of his situation. Although he may appear oblivious at times, Ron cares very much for Harry's well-being, and often finds himself at a loss of what to do. He's not as levelheaded as Hermione is in tough situations, but he tries. Ron's a bit more easygoing than Hermione is (especially to talk to) so he finds himself being the first one Harry talks to about trivial situations. Ron, of course, does the same.

Ron's relationship with Hermione is a very interesting one. In fact, it's so interesting it's confusing. At times, Ron shows very high admiration for Hermione's intellect, and even wishes it of himself. But others, he often criticizes Hermione for being too uptight, to which they often resolve after a weeks worth of fighting. Neither are subject to relent in fights because of their stubbornness. Mostly, Ron's stubbornness. Ron also seems to be developing an interesting and possibly romantic relationship with Hermione, but for now it's in the arguing and teasing stage. He was highly annoyed that Hermione went to the Yule Ball (in his 4th year) with Krum, but never got around to asking her himself. He ended up going to the Ball with Padma Patil, but he was so busy glowering at Hermione and Krum that Padma abandoned him to dance with some boys from Beauxbatons. Ron didn't seem to mind in the least. He also often finds himself standing up for her in situations that involve Professor Snape's ridicules, Draco's taunts, and others. He has no problem doing it either. The only person that can tease Hermione and get away with it is Ron.

In his Fifth Year in Hogwarts, Ron was awarded the prefect position (much to his surprise) and Gryffindor Keeper. Despite all the times he's practiced with Fred and George in their backyard, Ron has never been the most surpurb Quidditch player. He often finds it frustrating, like all subjects, but has yet to give up. He's come very close to, though. Ron's skills in Quidditch, however, have increased through the number of games they've been through. His overall drive is probably the prime factor for determining why the Gryffindor team won the last match.

Zodiac: Pisces is the twelfth sign of the Zodiac, and governs the feet. Positive traits include idealism, wisdom, intuition, empathy, imagination, creativity, adaptability, compassion, and an uncanny connection to all that is spiritual and otherworldly (which makes for talent in magic); negative traits include being easily influenced by other people, gullibility, a lack of backbone, escapism, addictive personality, impracticality, emotional game-playing, delusion, and a total inability to say "no."

While not the bravest of Gryffindors, the Gryffindor Pisces still exhibits a quiet courage. They aren't afraid to face painful truths, if there really is no way of escaping them. These Gryffindors are deeply compassionate, and full of emotional strength, often becoming the unofficial counselors in the common room who everybody runs to for advice. They are romantic to an extreme; their minds are stuffed full of fairy tales, myths, and legends. They often spend more time daydreaming than doing their homework, to the vexation of their professors. Still, their daydreams do sometimes produce uncanny insights. [HP Astrology]
